New course: The search for extraterrestrial life

Publicatie datum

17 February 2026

Our basic course has been a success for decades. Yet there is one topic that always raises many questions and is really too big to cover properly within the course: the search for extraterrestrial life.

That is why we are now dedicating a separate course to it. In four lessons we explore the basics of biological life, the chance of water in our solar system, and the hunt for exoplanets and technosignatures. We conclude with the Fermi paradox: if the chance of life is so great, why have we never heard anything from anyone?

In March a trial edition starts with a mixed audience to further refine the course. You can still register for this. Later this year the definitive first edition will begin.
